Question : hi,
Recently 11days bak i delivered baby boy every evening i feel feverish after delivery ...dnt knw whether due to climate...can i breast feed baby wen i feel feverish ...will it affect baby...

Thanks for the query.
- Post delivery fever needs to be taken care of . I understand your concern.
* I would suggest you to record your temperature & be confirmed about fever,Some times weakness with day long activities create physical / psychological stress which gives feverish feel,while temperature is not raised.
* fever if confirmed needs to be investigated to find the cause.
- Stitch infection/ inflammation of milk glands/ unhygiene of birth canal( Not changing sanitary towels/ lac of local hygiene) may lead to infection & fever.
- upper respiratory tract infection/ urinary infection needs to be looked for.
* Consult your doctor for specific medicines/tonics as per diagnosis.
- You can feed your baby even if you have mild fever& are under treatment with few precautions.
- take medicines regularly/have good nutritive diet with high proteins,vitamins, iron, calcium.
- take some liquid ( milk/juice/soup) before you feed your baby.
- If you have cough/cold put on a mask while you feed the baby.Wash hands carefully before feeding baby.
- be n a comfortable position while feeding so that you are not exhausted .
