Question: 2 days back we went to paediatrician for vaccination to my son . He is 10 months old and he was given opv and measles vaccination and she advised us to give him D3 must and Hemsi - pd .
After vaccination he did not had flu but since i gave him above drops he is having fever and he is feeling miserable. D3 must was given to him till 8 months and now again we are continuing based on her advice.
I want to know that whether he is having fever due to drops or something else.
He is not sleeping properly since yesterday and crying continously. Please help me.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Fever is most likely due to the immunisation

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

I can understand your concern.
Fever following measles vaccine can occur in about 10% of vaccinated babies. This is due to the immune response.Few babies can develop rash also with loss of appetite and general feeling of being unwell. This can last for 3-4 days and no specific treatment is needed.
I would like to give paracetamol drops for fever and suggest you keep trying for feeding the baby.
D3 must and hemsi pd drops are supplements of vitamin D and iron. Most of the babies of this age group are deficient in vitamin D and iron.So these supplements would be helpful to combat the deficiency if any.
Fever is not a side effect of these drops.
In your case vaccination is the most likely cause of fever.
Observe the baby and if he gets lethargic, excessive irritable, develops breathing problem or does not accepts feeds well consult your pediatrician for clinical evaluation.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Wishing for your baby's good health.
Regards
