What Causes Feverish Feeling, Muscle Stiffness And Tiredness?

default
Posted on Mon, 25 May 2015
Question: Hi I am looking for an a idea of what my various ailments could mean. I am 32f born with asthma. I have precordial catch, migraine, and arthritic spells that start in a large distal joint like my wrist or an ankle. it will then radiate to the next joint like my elbow or knee it is a strong burning sensation along with the feeling of pressure. these spells are accompanied by the feeling similar to the beginning of a cold or flu(muscle stiffness and tiredness and I will feel feverish but don't run a fever). the pain never affects my fingers or toes. all tests for rheumatism have come up negative(ANA, SPE, and RF) my IGM, TP, are always slightly elevated HsCRP is always very high (>1.50 mg/dl). CRP,WSR, and TSH are normal MCV is always slightly decreased (75) the rest of the CBC is normal. my joints also dislocate easily.
looking for ideas on where to go from here
thanks.

Brief Answer:
You can be having BJHS.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that since you give a history that you have easy dislocation of joints in this young age that means there is a possibilty of Benign joint hypermobility syndrome which afftect young people whose joints are extra XXXXXXX that is the range of motion is increased and are extra flexible so in those people such joint pains are common .

Since there are no positive tests for arthritis so possibility of having arthritis is low , and also you give no history of swelling . You should see a rheumatologist and get your beightons score done to see for the evidence of joint hypermobility .

Thank you.

Dr. Shruti
