It can be due to urinary infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to urinary tract infection. It is usual to get gastro intestinal irritation when getting urinary tract infection.
It is better to do an urine routine examination to rule out infection. Puss cells will be more in case of infection. In such case antibiotic therapy will be needed. I would recommend antibiotics like norfloxacin empirically in such case and send urine for culture and sensitivity and change antibiotic after culture report if necessary.
You can take cranberry juice and barley water to relieve the painful urination. Sodium citrate in water also will be helpful.
For gastric discomfort you can take over the counter proton pump inhibitors like Prilosec.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
