Question : my right eye had a small hazy line go off and on for a few seconds at a time starting Thursday. now it is starting to be periodic flashes in the same right eye, getting to happen more often. I was sitting for a few hours and the flashes started when I got up and walked to my car several flashes driving home 15 minute drive now I am sitting down and the flashes are still there but seem not as strong. I do not drink but take hydrocodone for severe arthritis
any answers to my eye problem

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description the initial hazy line was related to floaters in the right eye. Floaters are vitreous degenerations that are age related and is a normal phenomenon.

As there has been an increase in the floaters associated with flashes of light, indirect ophthalmoscopy is required to look for possible retinal tear detachment and other conditions in consult with an ophthalmologist. If the test is normal, then there is no need to be worried.
