there are few possible causes. In first place it can be diabetic neuropathy if you have diabetes. If not, then it may be sign of vessel stenosis which can be arterial and venous. Also, lack of some nutritiens such as vitamin b12 or vitamin d can be causes as well. Alcohol abuse is causing metabolic neuropathy and pain in toe. So you need to check your blood sugar, do doppler ultrasound of legs and have vitamin supplements. WIsh you good health. Regards
