Question : Why would your urine have a foul odor? Not sweet smelling just pungent smelling.
Brief Answer:
Infections, metabolic, endocrine, electrolyte, or metabolic disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Foul smelling odor is usually a sign of a metabolic, endocrine, or electrolyte problem. I would highly recommend seeing your doctor to get a urinalysis, as well as routine screening bloodwork to rule out any electrolyte, metabolic, endocrine disease.
Foul smelling urine can also be caused by infections. Infections are usually associated with itching, burning, in discharge. However, many infections can also be asymptomatic which means they could have no symptoms of discharge or pain.
