Brief Answer:
If the smell is persistent, it suggests infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to healthcare magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

I think you have also had biopsy along with colposcopy. The foul smell is from the dead tissue on the raw area of cervix ( from where biopsy was taken) which got expelled. If there is no foul smell now, then you need not worry.

If the smell is persistent even after cleaning then it suggests infection. In that case you need to see your doctor again for internal examination and antibiotic treatment.

I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.

Best wishes,
Dr Rama
