Question : I have been having a bout of IBS for the past 10 days and I forgot
To tell my PCP that my BM smell like very strong onions. What would be the reason for this? Is it something to be concerned about?

Hi and thank you for asking on HCM!

I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1. Your BM smells like strong onions. It may be related with :
- candida infection
- other bacterial infection
- mild food intolerance
2. To my opinion you should perform fecal culture test to rule out \ confirm gut infection.
Meantime I suggest to take plenty of water, use fruits and vegetables and avoiding food like beans and broccoli.
