What Causes Frequent And Painful Urination With Fever And Sweating?

default
Posted on Tue, 10 May 2016
Question: I feel the need to urinate almost all the time, even when I have just done so, and a burning sensation when I do. My urine is cloudy with particles in it, which look like skin. The need to urinate began a few days ago, with fever and sweating. Then it abated for a few days until this morning, when I first noticed the condition of the urine. I had a urinalysis a few weeks ago and was normal, as were my various chemicals.

Brief Answer:
a urinary tract infection probably

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

if you've never had pain along with the other symptoms then the most likely cause is a urinary tract infection. The negative urinalysis a few weeks ago does not add any useful information because it just tells us that you had no infection back then. We need a new urinalysis to find out if an infection developed meanwhile.

If the urinalysis is positive for an infection then antibiotic treatment would be required and radiological investigation of the urinary tract, starting with an ultrasound scan.

Kind Regards!
