Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
Burping occurs due to increased swallowing of air. During cold or sinus infection, we respire through mouth, resulting increased swallowing of air, this might cause burping.
It should improve as cold or sinus problem clears. Presently I would suggest you to avoid excessive chewing of gum or smoking. Do not drink from a straw as it causes belching. Over the counter medications to treat the gas related symptoms such as simethicone, will be beneficial.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
