Brief Answer:
Possible gallbladder pathology.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thank you so much for posting your query on this forum.
Have gone through your question and i would like to say that most likely cause in your case can be gallbladder.Your gallbladder is located behind the right ribs, and as a result gallstone pain can be felt coming from below the rib cage exactly from the location you are mentioning. These stones can create obstructions in the bile ducts, creating inflammation and pain off and on.Pain is sharp in nature and usually crescendo decrecendo in nature (increases then decreases).
I would suggest you to go for an ultrasound abdomen to rule out possibilities of gallstones or inflammation of gallbladder called cholecystitis.

Please do follow up with reports of ultrasonogram.
Wish you great luck.
Thanks!
