Question : My 2.5 year old daughter has frequent tears in her eyes. What can i do about this?
Brief Answer:
Eye allergy or blocked nasolacrimal duct
Detailed Answer:
Hi...By what you quote I feel that this could an eye allergy (ocular allergy) or a blocked nasolacrimal duct.
I have few questions for you -
1. Is this problem there tight from birth?
2. Do the eyes become red whenever this happens?
3. Is there fever every time?
4. Is there associated sneezing or runny nose every time this occurs?
Kindly get back with answers.

It happens 2-3 times a day.
It is not from birth.
It does not come with fever.
I think it is due to excessive watching of cartoons on tv. Is there anything i can do to make sure she do not take spectacles in early age.

Brief Answer:
Looks like allergy - no relation to early spectacles
Detailed Answer:
Hi....this is not related to early spectacles. Do not worry about this.
But excessive TV or laptop or tablet viewing can cause vision problems.
By what history you have given upon my enquiry - I feel that it could be an ocular allergy.
I suggest you see an ophthalmologist directly and get her evaluated.
