Question : I have frequent 'twitching' both underneath and above my eyelids, the right more than the left. At times I don't feel stressed, and sometimes if I sneeze very hard it occurs. Is this a sign of an impending stroke?
Brief Answer:
not a sign of stroke
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
This type of twitching is a muscle spasm in the muscles around the eyes and is not the sign of an impending stroke.
Make sure that you are staying well hydrated and not drinking alcohol, excessive caffeinated beverages or soda.
Drink plenty of water and avoid other beverages.
Begin taking a multivitamin/multimineral supplement daily.
Most muscle spasms are caused by a mild dehydration or a lack of vitamins or supplements.
Get plenty of rest, stay hydrated and take a vitamin and the spasms should stop.
Best to you,
