What Causes Frequent Urination And Itching In The Groin Area?

default
Posted on Sat, 28 Jan 2017
Question: In August my OBGYN found an irregular pap smear. They told me to come back around now. Some cells didn't look right. I have general anxiety disorder and OCD so this type of waiting doesn't help!!! I still feel some symptoms I did during that appointment. Odor in urine. frequent urination, itching. The Clotrimazol cream helps. I get it right before my "period" each month (Lo Loestrin I'm 36). I am on a bunch of medications (Amlidopine, Atvorastatin, Lavothyroxin, ranitadine, and Lo Loestrin) and have for over a year tested high white blood cells. I also am pre-diabetic. My husband and I are HS sweethearts. Each other's 1 and only lovers. Possibly allergic to his bodywash.

Brief Answer:
It can be due to inflammatory cells

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.

I have read your question and understand your concern.

I don't see what kind of irregular Pap smear did you have, because there are many abnormal types of Pap smear .

These cells that doesn't seem right- can be inflammatory cells due to the previous infection you had .
Itching while you are pre-diabetic and relieve from the use of Clotrimazole cream means that you have yeast infection.

Hence please use Clotrimazole cream for 5 to 7 days and after six months do repeat the Pap smear.

If you want you can upload your Pap smear report here and I'll explain and interpret it specifically. You can simply upload/attach it at the reports section.

Please feel free to discuss further .

Best Regards

The nurse said it was a normal abnormality when testing for HPV. That test was negative in August. Again, my husband and I have only ever had sex with each other. An STD/STI is impossible.

She said it was a very small abnormality that usually fixes itself. My fear is what if there is no change or it's worse? Given the sexual history, doesn't that basically leave my options as "healed self" or "cancer"? No one is telling me what they could mean. But, they know about the anxiety. All I get is "usually in these cases when it's this minor it heals itself". She said a UTI or yeast infection won't show in this test. Won't effect the cells tested.

Gynecologic cytology by Pap smear or monolayer preparation(SurePAP) is a screening procedure subject to both false negative and false positive results. Published data demonstrate that zero error performance can never be attained with this test so that a negative result does not absolutely exclude the presence of an abnormality. The Pap smear/monolayer is most reliable in detecting the presence of an abnormality when adequate samples are collected at regular intervals. Results must always be interpreted in the context of the prior history and current clinical status of the patient.

Brief Answer:
Don't worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again and apologize for late replay.

I have seen your report and it is normal , you do not have any cervical issue.

Abnormal cells are as i have mentioned above ,inflammatory cells due to previous infection.

Use Clotrimazol 5 to 7 days and these inflammatory cells will heal and turn normal.

Hence there is nothing to worry about.

Please be calm and feel free for further discussion .

Best regards
