What Causes Frequent Urination And Mild Pain In Bladder?

likely to be UTI from your symptoms but needs to be evaluated further.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read your whole query and understand the concern.
I will keep urinary tract infection as the first possibility as per your symptoms but it needs to be evaluated further.
Here,I would like to tell you that if you will go for CBC and Urine examination tests after taking broad-spectrum antibiotics (like ciprofloxacin) then there is more chances of having normal reports because of the effect of antibiotic.
This pain does not seem to be related to gas or acidity here as in most of the case,gas/acidity causes upper abdominal pain.
In my opinion, you have not taken sufficient dosage of ciprofloxacin, because in urinary tract infection,I generally prefer to give at least 750 mg (in stead of 500 mg) antibiotic for minimum 10 to 15 days full course to get rid off the infection (and also to prevent the carrier state).
Now,if you have already stopped ciprofloxacin then I would suggest you not to take it for at least 2 or 3 days and then you should go for routine blood counts,Renal function tests,Urine routine microbiology with culture and sensitivity testing to detect the exact causative organism of urinary infection and its sensitivity to our antibiotic,so that further treatment and antibiotic course can be planned.
Repeat ultrasound of KUB region can also be done with full bladder to rule out any other bladder pathology but it should be done only after physician's advice.
Meanwhile, you can take over the counter pain killers like dicofenac 50 mg or paracetamol 500 mg and drink plenty of water orally.
Take liquid citralka 2TSF three times daily if you have burning micturition.
Therefore,You should see a physician or urologist who will know about all the tests and can prescribe you appropriate full course antibiotic (levofloxacin 750 mg is best for UTI if not resistance) with other symptomatic treatment.
Hope this detailed explanation will be helpful.
Regards,

Get it diagnosed first rather than thinking about antibiotics.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Thanks for the follow-up.
The important thing is to diagnose first rather than taking antibiotics randomly.
Also changing of antibiotics from cipro to ofloxacin will not work.
Missing any antibiotic dose will not cause any problem.
As i said earlier, you should keep yourself away from antibiotics for at least 48 to 72 hours and then go for routine blood counts, ESR, renal function tests, Urine examination for R/M & C/S which might give some regrading the underlying cause and so,further treatment can be planned.
Also, if UTI is diagnosed (which is the likely possibility here) then you will need antibiotic in higher dose for at least 10 to 15 days like i said tab.levofloxacin 750 mg instead of 500 mg.
For that, you need to see some experienced physician or urologist who will know about all the tests and appropriate treatment.
Hope this will help.
Regards,

In UTI,more dosage is required than usual.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Thanks for the quick response.
Ciprofloxacin is also a good antibiotic in UTI but i am only concern with the dosage means if you are taking 500 mg then i do not think so that it would be sufficient especially when you are taking it for UTI.
Also,if you will go for blood and urine testing while antibiotics are being taken, then there is maximum chances of having normal reports.
My only purpose to stop antibiotics was to detect exact organism which might be responsible for your clinically diagnosed UTI (by your treating physician) and to check its sensitivity to our antibiotic.
You can discuss all these things to him before changing doctor and in case if does not reply satisfactorily then i would advise you to take 2nd opinion from another doctor.
Here,it could be possible that your doctor has diagnosed UTI on the basis of clinical symptoms and examination and i am not challenging his expert advise but the only concern is the dosage of the antibiotic.
In my all answers,i have keep repeated regarding dosage of the antibiotic because it is an important factor especially while you are dealing with UTI which requires comparatively more dosage (whose weight is more than 60 kg) and also for longer time than usual (at least 10 to 15 days) to get rid off infection completely.
Hope it will clear to you now.
Regards,
