What Causes Frequent Urination And Sharp Pain In Penis?

default
Posted on Wed, 1 Jul 2015
Question: Hi, I'm a 28 year old male and my mom has ms. I recently had a bout of frequent urination that lasted for about a week and I've read that it could be an early sign, I've had no other symptoms. Sometimes when I would urinate I would have been mild to sharp pain that seemed to come from the base of my penis on the top of my testing. There was also an odd feeling of pressure when I would ejaculate. I haven't found anything about pain while urinating with ms. I've tested negative for stds.

Brief Answer:
epididymitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
It does not sound like MS. It sounds like you may have epididymitis. This is an infection of the epididymus which is a piece of tissue that wraps around the upper part of the testicles.
Sometimes this will resolve on its own, but if it does not then you need to see your doctor again for an other exam for this possible infection/inflammation.
It is good that you have no STDs.
Try taking an antiinflammatory like ibuprofen three times a day for a week and really pushing the fluids. if it does not resolve then see your doctor again
