Most common reason of frequent urinating and blood in urine is urinary tract infection. Burning while urinating, lower abdominal pain, back pain, fever can be also present. Cephalexin should help if its bacterial infection.
Frequent urinating can be also caused by diabetes. Urine is usually foul smelling. Thirstiness, sweating can be also present.
I suggest you to have urine analysis and abdominal ultrasound done.
