Question : I have been having contractions since last night, but i did fall sleep at bout 1 am and woke at 6:45 am. I don't know why i am having these contractions that are just over and over again and last a good solid minute. I am not pregnant either. As a matter of fact I just had my menstrual cycle and it came just 2 weeks after my last one, which is not normal at all for me. That was very heavy with clots, also not normal.

Brief Answer:
Can be a uterine fibroid.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The frequent uterine contractions that you are having with heavy bleeding during periods can be due to a uterine fibroid or a uterine infection. Intestinal contractions can also be the cause of pain.
It is best to get an ultrasound scan done for proper diagnosis.
