Question : I am on a low dose metroprolol tartrate for an irregular heart beat. I am having symptoms of neuropathy, gout, foot rash, bumps below my hair line on my neck and neck and shoulder pain. Could the beta blocker be causing these symptoms?
Brief Answer:
METOPROLOL IS NOT A CULPRIT IN YOUR CASE......
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic,
Beta-blockers doesn't cause the above mentioned side effects. Gout is a metabolic problem related to uric acid levels in the body.
You better consult your family physician for rest of your complaints because you should be examined carefully to sort out the diagnosis.
