default
Posted on Wed, 10 May 2017
Question: I've had spinal fusion surgery and that was done in 2003! I had surgery again in 2005 and 2011. I've been having groin pain and I'm with my husband in XXXXXXX and my Dr is in XXXXXXX Tennessee. I'm not sure what to do. Should I be concerned about this pain. I feel as if it's coming from my back.

Brief Answer:
Unlikely co relation with fusion surgery.

Detailed Answer:
Hi , I am Dr Gopal Goel ,Orthopedic Surgeon.
In my opinion, If you had spinal fusion surgery in 2011, and are having groin pain now, it is unlikely to be related to spinal fusion surgery. However I would suggest a MRI to R/O any correlation with any spine pathology.
In the meantime start mild pain killers and muscle relaxants.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
