Brief Answer:
Symptoms suggestive of hypothyroidism,advised TFTs
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
The constellation of symptoms mentioned by you are suggestive of thyroid disorder.
Hypothyroidism leads to symptoms of fatigue, hair loss, feeling cold, depression, sudden change in weight, change in appetite, anxiety, menstrual disturbances, dryness of skin, etc.
Thus, I am of the opinion that your mother should get thyroid function tests (TFTs)- TSH, T3 and T4 in first place.
If any abnormality is detected, further investigations can be carried out.
Hypothyroidism is treated with thyroxine therapy.
If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.
