I can see a red bump near my anus. And it seems to be discharing pus. there is no pain or anything like that. But sometimes after bowel I get itchy feelings. I have sent a picture of that red bump. What can this be?
Can be a hemorrhoid or a polyp.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood your history of hard stools, bleeding lasting for a few days at a time, red bump likely pus, itching but *no pain.
No pain rules out fissure.
The commonest causes of such an appearance is prolapsing pile (hemorrhoid) or a polyp.
For this you need the following:
Per-rectal examination and proctoscopy to start with to get a confirmed diagnosis as to the exact problem.
Laxatives to soften the stools.
Proper other medicines to get a control of infection if present.
Get prepared for surgery if that is the stage of the disease.
Consult a General Surgeon for proper clinical evaluation, examination and proper treatment.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
