Brief Answer:
A blocked gland likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
A small pea sized lump on the breast is likely to be due to a small blocked gland. If it is paining only occasionally then there is no need to worry as an infection is less likely. You can do a hot compress in the area and do a light massage with baby oil. This will help in clearing off any blockage in the duct. In case the pain and tenderness is increasing and there is an increase in the size of swelling then you need to see your gynecologist for a direct examination. In case there is any abscess then systemic antibiotics may be needed.
Do continue feeding from that side if it is not very painful.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to engorgement.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The burning sensation in the nipples and breast can be due to milk engorgement. You can feed the baby and express the excessive milk to empty the breasts alternately after the feed. In addition start taking Vitamin B complex supplements. Doing a hot compress will also help.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Brief Answer:
Constipation relief will help.

Detailed Answer:
The main aspect of treatment in this situation, would be dietary changes to solve your problem of chronic constipation, and symptom relief with laxatives for a short duration.

There are many things you can help constipation. They include

1. Eating more fruits, vegetables and grains, which are high in fiber

Foods Rich in SOLUBLE Fiber: Oatmeal or oat bran; Brown rice; Orange, grapefruit, green plantain

Foods that can act as laxatives: Prunes, figs, Psyllium husk, shredded wheat, flaxseed (oil), Senna, Cascara sagrada, Aloe vera juice, Dandelion root, Molasses, Liquorice, etc.

2. Drinking plenty of water and other liquids

3. Getting enough exercise, abdominal exercises are best to improve gut motility.

4. Taking time to have a bowel movement when you need to. Visit the toilet for 15 minutes in the morning, even if you are unable to have a bowel movement. This relaxes and stimulates your digestive system.

5. Relaxation and stress management techniques.

6. Proper dietary habits, regular meals, not missing meals and breakfast, etc. Sit quietly for 15 minutes after eating a meal to aid in digestion.
The bleeding could be due to constipation resulting in anal fissures or hemorrhoids. This issue, if persistent and lasting for more weeks needs to be evaluated with a rectal examination, followed by definitive treatment of the underlying cause. In the mean time, use of OTC medications like preparation H or pilorute or Shield might relieve your discomfort or pain.

Brief Answer:
Start taking Vitamin B 12 supplements.

Detailed Answer:
This burning will decrease by taking Vitamin B 12 supplements. Taking fresh fruit juices will also help. Do not lie on the right hand side and avoid using a pillow for a few days. This will help in case the burning is due to a nerve root compression.
