Question : I have flu-like symptoms (headache, fatigue, fever/chills, body aches, slight sore throat, dry cough) since yesterday. However, I also had a long bout with very similar symptoms between late April and early May (~2 weeks). I'm wondering if I should be concerned or see my doctor, as in - is this a continuation of the same infection that didn't really go away?

no connection probably
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
it is possible to get sick from flu-like diseases many times each year. Most patients get the "flu" 3-4 times each year. Some patients may have more similar infections when their children start school. It depends on your contacts mostly (job, personal contacts). If you come into contact with diseased people or with too many individuals then getting sick more than most people is not unusual.
Besides that, fever and cough require exclusion of serious causes like pneumonia, so a visit to your primary care physician is recommended.
Kind Regards!
