What Causes Headache Followed By Pain In The Jaws And Shoulders?

Question : For the past 3 weeks I have experienced severe headaches,followed by pain in my jaws then the tops of my shoulders and my upper chest (down to about my nipple level. The pain is extreme and I can't function. If I take 2 aleve the pain leaves in about 20 minutes and does no return until about 12 hrs later.I an 86 yrs old in otherwise good health and take no other meds.Whats suddenly going on?

Its due to Nerve Compression.

Thanks for posting your query.

Most likely you might be having Nerve compression at the level of Neck. This nerve supplies sensation to back of neck, head, arm, shoulder, back and Chest. Due to compression of the nerve , you are getting Pain in these regions.

I recommend you to get X ray Cervical Spine done and revert back with report. You can start on Tab Pregabalin every night .

Do slow rotational exercise of Neck ( Clockwise and Anti Clockwise ) everyday.
