Question : I hit the side of my head close to my temple pretty hard more than 24 hours ago. I did not lose consciousness. But I am now having a moderate dull headache that I can feel around my ear and to my mouth on the side where I hit it with stabbing sensations near my temple area. I also feel a bit nauseated at times and dizzy. No other symptoms so far. Should I visit the er?

Hello,
I have studied your case. You have sustained a head injury and in such cases you should always visit ER. Specially with symptoms like loss of consciousness, vomiting or giddiness. In such cases your doctor may advised you to get a CT scan. Even a trivial head injury can be serious some time.
