Brief Answer:
Probably due to cervical spondylosis and radiculopathy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thank you for your query.
You probably have cervical spondylosis which is a wear and tear lesion of the bones of the neck and there would be degeneration of the cervical discs in between the vertebrae. The degenerated discs would press on the nerves supplying the sides of the neck, the back of the head, shoulders and the arms. There can be pain at any of these sites which sometimes may feel like shooting pain.
The dizziness also can be caused by this problem as there are two blood vessels supplying the base of the brain and the inner ears. The blood supply in these vessels can be compromised especially on movements of the neck and this can lead to giddiness.
Take care.
