Brief Answer:
Nothing suggestive of concussion till now.To be observed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up and providing further details.

For sure, there is nothing suggestive of a concussion till now. However, sometimes symptoms may come after a delay of even upto few days. So,you need to be observant for any of the above red flag symptoms which I mentioned and report to the ER if any of them starts developing. In that scenario, you may have to undergo a brain imaging study like CT scan.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.

Doctor how long should I ice it? Also Dr in your opinion is it likely I will notice more symptoms in a few days ? or do you think it most likely remain as is ?,
doctor
Answered by Dr. Ajay Panwar (6 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Has to be observed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up.

There is no fixed duration for which ice should be appiled. Ice will help reduce some local inflammatory effects due to injury. So,probably a couple of days of ice application will suffice. You can apply it for 5-10 minutes three times a day.

It happens in some cases, when initially symptoms are absent but they may evolve in next few days.In your case, injury was apparently not that severe, and there is not even the slightest indication of concussion till now. So,I am hopeful that its just normal and nothing significant.Still,to be on safer side, its wiser to be observant.

Hope that helps. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.
