What Causes Headache With Sore Neck And Flu?

Question : I am a healthy active 22 year old male firefighter. My symptoms started as
a generally fatigued feeling about 5 days ago which then turned into a headache that is similar to a sinus headache or a blood pressure related headache. At the time I also had a rash similar to jock itch on my left inner thigh close to groin. The next day my headache was off and on and my neck began to be sore as well. Similar to sleeping wrong and having tension in your neck. It eventually went away as well. I then developed mild flu like symptoms. Similar to a chest cold. The next morning I woke with the stiff neck and headache again and it eventually went away. Saw my doctor and he was concerned about possible meningitis so he did some blood work and determined I had some type of viral infection which may have had meningitis like effects also but affects my siniuses. I forgot to mentio the rash near my groin and was still concerned. I come into contact with all kinds of patients and am aware of the similarity of my symptoms to many serious and not so serious viral issues. Please give me some advice.

I am sorry for the symptoms you have suffered these days.
First of all you need to be calm because the symptoms you have suffered are those of flu.
Second as your blood test result was normal that almost exlude meningitis.
In my opinion you should consult your neurologist because the neurological exam can rule out neuroinfection if the exam is normal.
For your safety it is better that you schedule a brain MRI.
As your symptoms are going way I think you have just passed a viral infection, flu.

Rash on inner thigh left leg at groin. Jock itch? May be showing up on aide of scrotum and other leg. Something worse? Been using lotrimin ultra. Please asvise asap

I carefully saw you photo and it seems it is an mycotic inflammation so discuss with your doctor about my opinion and do a mycotic test.
