What Causes Headaches And Bloating Inspite Of Being On Birth Control Pills?

I started birth control last march. Three months after i started it i began to get bad side effects such as headaches, cramps, bloating, and feeling sick and tired. Two months ago i stopped the birth control because it was making me feel awful and i felt like my whole body changed from it. Ever since i have stopped it, i have been having digestive problems. I get bloated a lot, and constipated, sometimes gasey. When i get my period, i feel fine. I just got off my period and i feel like i have a stomach bug. I have a headache, i feel naseous, i had diarrhea yesterday and today i cant let anything out. What is going on with me
Most probably side effects of pill.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us about it.
I can understand your concern.
Your symptoms may be due to hormonal imbalance caused by birth control pills.
In some cases body required more time to adjust their hormonal imbalance after giving up the pills.
Hence in my opinion you can wait for 1 more cycle and to see whether your symptoms reduced or not, if they persist then you should consult a physician and rule out the other causes of your symptoms like abdominal symptoms can be due to Gastric ulcer, IBS(irritable bowel syndrome) and headache can be due to stress and migraine.
You can take some antacid drug for bloating, high fiber diet, a lot of water for constipation and pain killer for your headache.
One more important thing as you are not on pills you should use another method of contraception to prevent pregnancy.
Hope it is useful; feel free to ask more questions.
Good luck.

It can be due to hormonal changes.
Hormone level (estrogen and progesterone) changes during menstrual cycle, which may be responsible for your mood changes.
