Question: Hi. I have had raised blood pressure initially 3 weeks ago and full bloods were taking showing nothing. I then collapsed that evening in a restaurant and taking to hospital and they ruled out heart attack or heart issues but my bp was still fluctuating. I suffer fibromyalgia and they seem to put everything down to this. I told them I felt dizzy, confused and generally weird all that day. When I collapsed I turned grey was conscious but not fully aware, sweats and chills and breast bone was very sore to touch and pain radiated to my back. I have now been off work for following 2 weeks. Malaise and feeling highly sick daily, headaches, dizzy, feeling of swollen hands, ankles, lower back and tingling in hands which had that night. I have lower back pain and pain intermittent to my right side and up to my shoulder blades. I feel like a toxic feeling inside and been more frequent at toilet now limited. My abdomen area below ribs and above tummy button is sore especially after eating and being at the toilet. I am warm today yet body temp is at 35.5. I have been given a course of antibiotics as my urine clear but only had a kidney stone a year ago. I also have multiple gallstones. Thanks

Brief Answer:
I will advise to do HRCT pelvis and abdomen.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case.

As you are having history of gallstones there can be edema over liver which may lead to pattern of pain in abdomen region.
Ultrasonography abdomen and pelvis along with blood LFT will help in diagnosis.
Another possibility of gastric infection leading to chills, sweat and dizzy.
As cardiac cause is ruled out you may need neurological check up if symptoms persist.
I will advise to do HRCT pelvis and abdomen or MRI scan consulting your treating doctor.

Here are my other useful suggestions to you:
Avoid lifting weights, take rest, and eat easily digestible food.
Your back and joint pain may be due to fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia can not be totally cured, you can only minimise symptoms by taking various medications. I will advise you that you can start milnacipran or Lyrica (pregabalin) consulting your treating doctor.

Exercises and stretches plays important role in maintaining symptoms of fibromyalgia

Physiotherapy like ultrasound and tens will help, along with joint exercises.

A holistic approach is required, which includes exercises, meditation, SKY [sudarshan XXXXXXX yoga] and acupuncture along with healthy diet and herbs.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Hi

Thank you. I take gabapentin 300 mg which i dont really like or feels helps, 300mg trazadone at night, cynobalacin , co dryadamol 20 /500 and omerprazole just commenced again. How do I go about getting my doctor to request these things you have mentioned. I feel im not being listened to and i have not seen the gallstone
consultant since last year as they told me i was high risk and would be seen in three months yet i just found out by continually asking gp what had happened to be told an appointment had been sent ir august which i did not recieve. I await a further appointment as it is now requested as i have had to ask for this. The hospital was advised of my issues yet failed to carry out any scans only ecg. Bloods were taken as i said yet when i had a horrific kidney infection over a year ago all bloods were fine and onky when had to call the ambulance and given an ultrasound were my kidney stine and gallstones picked up. Thank you for your time .
