What Causes Hearing Loss In An Infant?

Question: My wife go delivered at age of close to 32 years and our baby is now 4 months old. I really looking forward for a second baby. But considering her age is it advisable to go for an second baby in 1.5 years or should be settle down with one kid only. Also my kid has been diagnosed with hearing loss and we don't have it in our family history. Your suggestion is widely appreciated.

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Next pregnancy should be planned ideally after 2.5-3 years.
One can plan pregnancy upto 35 years of age.
Hearing loss can be due to genetic or non genetic causes. It should be properly investigated.
If genetic cause is there, then proper prenatal testing, if possible, should be done in next pregnancy.
