Question : Hi, I was experiencing some problem relating to heavy breath, indigestion, heart and chest burn etc, uncomfortable sleep at nights. I thought it is related to heart, but when I visited the doctor he said that it is acidity and advised to take Pantocid DSR in the morning (empty stomach). Thereafter, a week or so later, the problem cropped again and I visited the doctor. I had my blood test and attaching the reports. Can you take a look at report and advice me for future precautions regarding eating/medicines/any other advice.

Brief Answer:
You might be having GERD

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

I have gone through the reports.

Heartburn you have could indicate gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It is a condition in which the stomach contents reflux in to the food pipe causing heart burn and other symptoms.

You can take C.Iladac- L once daily before breakfast for 4 weeks. You can take 10 ml of Mucaine when you have heartburn.

You also need to do the following for complete relief of symptoms -

1. Avoid alcohol and smoking ( if you have these symptoms)
2. Avoid coffee, citrus, chocolates, carbonated beverages, oily/spicy/masala food
3. Avoid eating full stomach. Instead eat multiple smaller meals.
4. Go to bed at least 2-3 hours after food.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
