Brief Answer:
GERD and not MS Relapse or Worsening.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Gastric discomfort like GERD with chest pains and palpitations symptoms are very common in MS patients due to the strop gastric irritating medicines of MS. So your doctor is very right. These are gastric discomfort symptoms and does not mean MS relapse or progression. Protonix is a good proton pump inhibitor and should work like charm. Apart from it, adapt good bowel and feedding and diet lifestyle habits as bowel gets compromised in MS patients.

Eat small frequent meals, exercise regularly, lose weight if overweight, avoid spices and sweets like chocolates, avoid tomatoes, onions and all other gastric irritant foods. Processed and canned foods should be reduced. Avoid dairy and fatty foods and delay time of lying down after the last meal.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
