Question : Hello,

I havw written in the past. I wanted to reach again and see if you have any other advice. My complaints:
Heaviness in chest- particulary in between my breast
Skmetimes i get a sharp pin that doenst last in upper chest
Feeling that i cannot expand my lungs
Always feeling the need to deeply inhale
I can work out with no problem- i have typical out of breath with cardio nothing worsten
I recently went to the doctors 2x
Both times my doctor said my lungs are clear- chest to. Said i have a slight murmur but nothing to be worried on. My blood work was completly normal. Both doctors feel it is my LPR and symptoms i am manifesting. With that said, have you ever heard of thid where one created oroblems like suj that stay for months? My thought process always goes to cancer but my doctor completly dismissed me. Any hell would be great so i can relax my anxiety

Brief Answer:
Cancer ruled out, clear chest, anxiety/panic treatable

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. From the information provided, if your doctor has on more times than once heard a clear chest, then there is no respiratory issue and symptoms of wanting to inhale deeply and a feeling of not being able to expand your chest could most probably be due to your anxiety or a panic attach (disorder).

Cancer is most certainly ruled out if your chest is clear, and simple investigations like a CT scan of your chest or even a chest X-ray can rule that out so for your satisfaction you could ask your doctor for either or both of these investigations.

I would also recommend a consultation with a psychiatrist to help deal with your anxiety and panic. Do not consider this to be necessary or hold back due to social stigma. Anxiety and panic disorder are both treatable and can help an individual live a normal life which you undoubtedly deserve.

I hope you find my response helpful. Please do not hesitate to write to me anytime, I am always here to help you ma'am.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Yes they most certainly can ma'am

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.

Yes ma'am, by listening to your chest a doctor can tell if there is some sort of lung related issue, or even blockage which will cause a specific type of breathing and/or accompanied by certain extra noises like rales, rhonchi, crepitus, etc.

I can understand how devastating that can be to lose someone so close to something like cancer, but all you need to do is to have regular (twice yearly) check ups to make sure you are well, other than that you need not obsess over it or get paranoid. Because if you do, then you will not be able to live your life to the fullest. And if you let that happen, even if you do not have cancer you will live in fear and that will be like living with something equally as cancerous.

The pressure between your breasts could be relating to a gastric condition, or simply just gas from long gaps between meals, etc; or even just due to psychological stress (which you are most certainly in).

I am always here to help you, I do not want you to ever feel alone, and don't get worried for small things, just write to me and I shall clear all your worries and doubts. But in my opinion, you are perfectly fine. All you need to do is work around your paranoia and you will be a perfectly healthy young beautiful woman.

Best wishes.
