What Causes Heaviness In The Chest Despite Having Normal BP?

default
Posted on Fri, 24 Jun 2016
Question: I'll ask again:
My heart has been beating heavier the last four days in my chest. Not faster, but just slightly heavier. It's not painful but it is noticeable. It's like a palpitation but not showing any other symptoms. No shortness of breath, no irregular beating, no pre-heart attack signs. I'm fine except for the heavier beating feeling. I've had this before but never for this length of time. And it seems to come and go. I got diagnosed with high blood pressure last year and have been on lisinopril/hydrochlorothyazide (20 mg). I thought that might be it but my blood pressure has been normal. Just took it and it was 130 over 90. Pulse has been steady 92. A doctor a little while ago said is was nervousness. It's not nervousness. Help?

Brief Answer:
Nothing serious

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

The feeling of heavy heartbeating can be caused by different reasons: high blood pressure, anxiety, irregular lifestyle, much intake of caffeine or nicotine.
Anyway, there is nothing serious.
I would advise you to regulate your sleep hours, avoid nicotine and caffeine, be much in the fresh air and it will disappear gradually.

Hope this was helpful

Wishing you good health
