Brief Answer:
It could be a hernia but need to examined by general surgeon .

Detailed Answer:
as per your history and complaint it may be swelling of hernia. I just highlight you that hernia swelling appear on straining like coughing, sneezing ,bearing weight , in standing position but disappear on preesing it. or in lying down position.

CT examination was done in lying down position so it will not appear here .
diagnosis of hernia is done by clinical examination of swelling .
you dont need to be worried as even if it is hernia it is treatable by surgery .
you need to consult a general surgeon for you local examination .
regarding abdominal pain Robby plus is fine but stelbid will be least effective so you can stop it .
feel free to contact if any query .

thankyou doctor please clear futher doubts -
1: My GP checked my abdomen by pressing it in clinic, if it is hernia would it be investigated?
2: I am having irritable bowel movements, i.e not properly cleaning stools. can it also be a reason?
3: the bulge which i am feeling on left side of groin is very small i.e seed size, i guess if it is hernia it is not that small?
4: Does hernia surgery is a complex task, does it takes days to discharge after surgery?
5: What could be the other reason other than hernia?
6; Does my reports also covered Groin part?
7: But this problem resolves on its own and again comes by otself after few days.

Brief Answer:
If it is Hernia dosent cure itself .

Detailed Answer:
I am giving your answer sequentially as follows :
No, just pressing the swelling is not the only test for hernia, there are some more test clinically available to diagnose hernia .
abdominal CT scan do not include groin part .
Sometimes constipation associated with irritable bowel syndrome may increase abdominal pressure during defecation and thereby increases hernia .

Hernia start as small swelling and gradually increase over time and also during , coughing or sneezing.
surgery for hernia is very simple one, even day care surgery are available now a days .
other reason for such type of swelling may be a subcutaneous cyst.
hernia do not resolve spontaneously, it require surgical intervention . however you can prevent it to increase in size just by wearing tight clothing over it .
