Brief Answer:
Withdrawal bleeding. Follow the advice.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

According to your information, it is MOSTLY suggestive of withdrawal bleeding due to effect of Plan B, causing hormonal imbalance.

In general, it stops automatically within 5 to 7 days without further treatment in MOST cases. However, I suggest you to take TRANEXAMIC ACID group of drug for 3-5 days to arrest bleeding. It is a prescription based medicine.

If bleeding continues despite of taking above medication, you must contact with local gynecologist for clinical examination and necessary investigation.

In addition, you must maintain genital hygiene properly and avoid sexual intercourse until this problem is resolved.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and practice safe sex in future.

Dr S Patra
