What Causes Heavy Feeling Below The Breasts?

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Oct 2015
Question: I have a heavy feeling just below the breasts in the middle. I don't want to go to emergency if it's not a heart attack. I woke up with it after my husband yelled out in his sleep and I jumped out of bed...about two hours ago...it has not abated...... I have also been very stressed out lately. Advice?

Brief Answer:
Explained below. .

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

I am sorry for the situation you are going through.

Taking into account that you got stressed after your husband yelled in his sleep and the fact that you have been stressed alot recently; what you are experiencing is due to reaction to stressful situation you're going through.

Take deep breath, try to relax, take chamomile tea and valerian tea to get relaxed and overcome this situation.

If the heavy feeling will get worst or if you'll have difficulty in breathing, or other unusual symptoms, then should go to ER for further and immediate evaluation and treattreatment.

Otherwise, schedule an appointment with your doctor to run further cardiac examinations :
- ECG
- electrocardiogram

to rule out cardiac problems.

All the best!
