Question : Hi, basically I came of the birth control pill after being on them for three months and about 2 days later i was spotting and now its been 7 days and im really heavily bleeding like changing my pad every two hours because its soaked is this normal? I also have really bad cramps and just feel really drained

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here. . I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic.

2 ) As you have bleeding continuously, please get a prescription for Tablet of Tranexamic acid 500 mg and Mefenamic acid 500 mg combination. Start with one tablet, 3 times a day for 5 days to get control over the bleeding.
Keep your self well hydrated. Try to have more fruits , salads and vegetables in daily diet. This will help to overcome fatigue, weakness and cramping.

3 ) Till then arrange for Usg test to know if there is any underlying cause of bleeding.
