What Causes High ALT Levels?

i would like inform you that i have blood pressure where i am taking telmisartan and amplodipine since last three years
both the values are insignificant
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Dr. Shanthi here. I have read your query.
Let me tell you this in the first place - ALT is clinically significant only when it runs in hundreds i.e. above 300 U/L. So, your value at 63 is normal. You need not do anything about this. No medicines are required too.
Secondly, your Gamma GT at 113 is also not very high. It indicates a form of acute stress on the liver. It can be due to high fatty food intake. So, please do not worry about this as well.
I would not suggest you to take omega 3 fatty acids. Instead, take a healthy diet which is low in fat, more of fruits and vegetables.
Please continue your blood pressure medications.
Please relax, you are in good health. Nothing to be worried about.
Take care and wish you good health.
