Question : I'm taking prednisone, (was 60mg, now 10) for lung sarcoidosis. my blood pressure has risen to 148/100 @ resting. Should I be see a doctor? I'm having a difficult time sleeping or resting because it feels like my heart is beating hard. I also feel anxious. I've heard there are 2 different types of BP medication.

Brief Answer:
yes see a doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Steroids like prednisone can raise the blood pressure. If you will be on steroids long-term for something like sarcoid then you need to see a doctor for blood pressure management. There are many classes of blood pressure medicines. Your blood pressure needs to be less than 120/80.
Also lowering salt in your diet and regular exercise can help
