Brief Answer:
very high LDL, impaired liver function tests

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

there two findings worth talking about. Your LDL cholesterol is high and requires intervention. It's probably due to your genes. The lipid profile may be improved with proper diet, a healthy body weight and physical activity.

The liver function tests require further investigation. Repeat measurement of ALT, AST and measurement of ALP, gamma-GT is also required. An ultrasound scan of the liver and gallbladder is very important to diagnose certain disorders. For example a fairly common disorder associated with high transaminases is fatty liver. Fatty liver occurs mostly in obese or overweight individuals. The ultrasound scan would provide the necessary documentation. Loosing weight is the only way to fight it. If it's not fatty liver then a more thorough investigation would have to be done, to determine the cause (including testing for hepatitis and other disorders).

I hope you find my comments helpful!

The other test associated with the liver like bilirubin phosphate ect.. appears normal but these two have been high in the past. I had a liver ultrasound last november 2016 and liver gallbladder appear normal, should i repeat test and could it be liver cancer?

Brief Answer:
this is not an indication for cancer

Detailed Answer:
This is not considered suspicious for cancer although it can't be completely excluded. The most likely causes include: viral infections (even asymptomatic ones sometimes), toxic substances (like drugs you may have used or supplements, etc), fatty liver (haven't seen your ultrasound scan so I can't tell for sure), transient disorders (like a gallstone passing through the bile duct and causing transaminase elevation), various forms of hepatitis (autoimmune, infectious), etc.

In most cases the cause is benign. Investigation is required to find out what's wrong. Sometimes even investigation cannot determine the cause and a biopsy might be needed. So your doctor has to go step by step...

Kind Regards!
