Brief Answer:
increase use of animal protein

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Creatinine levels can be affected by diet particularly increased use of protein particularly animal protein

Other factors that can increase creatinine are: (1) break down of muscle

(2)low levels of thyroid hormone

(3)side effect of medication- some antibiotics, steroids, testosterone

In acute renal failure there is also a rapid rise in creatinine levels but this would normally be associated with other signs and symptoms of renal failure such as decreased urinary output, fluid retention, loss of appetite, increased blood pressure, nausea, vomiting.

If none of hte symptoms of renal failure are present, your doctor may suggest repeating the level in a few days to determine if the increase is accurate.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
