High diastolic BP levels are caused by the following factors:
- Increase salt intake
- Eating fatty foods (food reach in cholesterol)
- Consumption of alcohol tobacco and energy drinks
- Smoking
- Obesity
- Metabolic syndrome (including Diabetes)

If you were my patient I would recommend as follows:
- a healthy lifestyle and diet to loose weight
- Quit smoking and other unhealthy habits (fatty foods, alcohol, energy drinks etc.)
- Increase physical activity and exercise
- Use magnesium supplements, omega fish 3 oil and CoQ 10 to stabilize diastolic BP.
