Brief Answer:
Can be bacterial
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
I appreciate your concern.
If the fever s high and with chills and rigors, it is more likely to be bacterial.
Does he have a headache or is he vomiting with an abdominal pain of discomfort.
Ibuprofen can be a gastric irritant is sensitive people and can cause vomiting.
So it is better to use paracetamol for fever to be taken after food.
Keep him hydrated with bland fluids.
If the fever recurs, it is better to see a doctor and have him examined and tested.
He may require antibiotics.
Wish him a quick recovery.

He vomit everything he tries to eat or drink.
Brief Answer:
Try injectable antiemetic
Detailed Answer:
Sorry for the delay in replying as I was attending to my physical patients.
If he is still vomiting, it would be better to give him an injectable anti emetic like Zofran.
If he is not better after that, it would be better to goto the ER and have him examined and treated.
