Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Increase in heart rate in sleeping is mostly due to heart issues.
In lying down position, work load on heart is increased.
And in old age due to atherosclerosis and other valvular heart problem, heart can not withstand with extra load.
So to compensate this extra load, heart need to pump more and so heart beat increases.
So better to get done ecg and 2d echo to rule out heart related diseases.
