What Causes High Heart Rate?
please see below
Detailed Answer:
Dear sir
Our normal heart rate ranges between 60-100 beats per minute but that does not mean that everyone above or below this rate is abnormal. If you are otherwise healthy, then it is likely to be a normal variant. There are many causes of higher heart rate like anxiety, stress, tea, coffee, medications, anemia, systemic diseases etc.
In suspected rhythm disorders we get an ECG done and look for rhythm. If it is normal sinus rhythm, we look for secondary causes for rise in heart rate.
You can also ask your partner to check your heart rate as you are sleeping. That will help in understanding exact pattern.
A simple clinical examination, ECG and xray chest will rule out any disease.
