What Causes High White Blood Cell Count?

Question: I have had blood work done twice and my white blood cell count had come back high twice...I have been since sent to a hematologist and I am a little concerned...makes me nervous II can send you my blood work results as well just need to now how...thoughts

Elevated WBC count could be due to many causes like Infections ( Most common ) Inflammatory diseases like Vasculitis , Collagen tissue disease , Leucomoid reaction and Leukemia.

Your WBC count is sightly elevated so Leucomoid reaction and Leukemia are unlikely .
Since Infections are most common cause for elevated WBC , I first suspect infection only . Have you not mentioned why you got the test done ? Was it due to some problem or just a routine test ? If any problem is there kindly tell me as it will help me in giving a proper diagnosis.

Also I could see a parameter called ESR in your report . Usually it will be done along with the blood test. If not done kindly get it done .
